Weeks have passed since Aaron Judge hit his historic 62nd home run. Since then, there might have been many talks about what would happen to the ball. Where will it end up, how much will it get sold for, and many others? The man who caught the historic home run ball is 35-year-old Corey Youmans. Earlier, he had reportedly declined a $3 million offer by the Yankees to return the ball. And now, there’s finally news on the topic.

Apparently, after being unhappy with the Yankees’ offer and confused about what to do, Youmans had put the ball up for auction with Goldin.

Now that the auction is over, and the historic ball finally got sold, the MLB world is mocking Corey for declining 3 million dollars for getting a price much less than that.

How much did the front office reportedly offer for the historic homerun ball of Aaron Judge?

As the world knows, the Yankees slugger Aaron Judge took his sweet time of approx two weeks to hit the 62nd homer after hitting the 60th. Although Judge got the 61st homer ball and gave it to his mother as a gift, he could not get his historic 62nd homer ball

And the catcher Youmans had put the ball up for auction with the help of an attorney. To his dismay, Youmans could not get the price near the reported $3 million. Instead, he got half of it, i.e. $1.5 million.

However, not all of it will be going into his pocket since his attorney’s fees and taxes will get cut from it. People on Twitter did not forget any small detail about what transpired to Youmans, reminding him of one of the biggest mistakes he made.

What did the fans say about the auction?

The moment this news got up on the internet, MLB fans started bashing him for waiting so long to put on auction. They also said that he should have accepted the $3 million or should not have put the ball for auction when FIFA and NFL season was going on. In short, he shouldn’t have waited to do so that Judge hitting the 62nd homer became an old piece of news.
