New York Yankees have had a great off-season so far with a number of crucial signings being made. They have improved their bullpen and added a number of value signings as well. But the biggest deal was signing Aaron Judge to a 9-year $360 million contract. With all the moves that the team has made this offseason, they look to be in a position to succeed.

It is now up to the Yankees skipper Aaron Boone to get the most out of the squad and have another great postseason run. And now when Boone has ranked low on a list that has nothing to do with baseball, ace Yankees announcer Michael Kay defended the Yankees manager.

New York Yankees Manager Aaron Boone ranked 13th on the most handsome MLB Managers list

A website recently released a list of the most handsome managers in the MLB. This list caused some controversy as Bob Lorenz, Jack Curry, and Michael Kay discussed it recently. YES Network shared a video of the discussion on Twitter and Michael Kay was upset. Kay seemed genuinely shocked that Yankees manager Aaron Boone was ranked 13th. Furthermore, he said that Boone should be mad as well.

YES Network quoted Kay in their Tweet “‘If I’m (Aaron) Boone I’m red-hot right now’ – Michael Kay 😂”. The Yankees announcer seemed genuinely upset that Boone ranked so low and wondered what the criteria behind the ranking were. Furthermore, he was surprised at the whole ranking in general and named other managers that he believed should be higher.

But coming back to the Yankees, Aaron Boone will be under pressure to perform this year. In the 2022 Postseason, the Yankees made it to the ALCS, where they were swept by the Houston Astros. Notably, the Yankees fans want to celebrate a World Series win and Boone has been unable to lead them there so far.

The Yankees have not played in a World Series since winning the title in 2009. The team has done well in the regular season but routinely underperformed in the postseason. This has led to a World Series appearance drought as well as a World Series winning drought.

Boone and the team will be under immense pressure to deliver soon as fans are getting impatient. Furthermore, a number of key players are in their 30s and are not getting any younger.
