In 2015, Jeter was honored at the 2015 Kids’ Choice Sports by Nickelodeon. According to Style and Society, “Derek Jeter was honored with the Legend Award at this year’s show in recognition of his unmatched talent, integrity and sportsmanship on and off the field.”

He was given the award shortly after retiring, having stepped away from the game after the 2014 MLB season. Derek Jeter joined the likes of Stephen Curry and Lindsey Vonn among other elite athletes that won awards at this ceremony.
