While talking about his time with the Dodgers, Gallo said that his leaving the Yankees was good for both sides.

“Baseball is definitely a mental game. It’s nice to get a fresh start somewhere… Yeah, it’s exciting. I have not lost a game yet… It helps not having to shave all the time for sure… But I like having a beard usually, a little bit of facial hair at least.”

“I don’t think I said I badly needed (leaving the Yankees). But I think it was good for both sides… They (the Yankees) got a great All-Star outfielder (Andrew Benintendi) to play in my place. So, I never have any hard feelings about that. I did not do my job to my abilities,” the former Yankees outfielder said.

He also opened up about his new home in Los Angeles and how he is loving his new home.

“I am living by the beach right now. So, that’s pretty nice, compared to New York,” Gallo added. “And no offense to New York, but I was living in a small apartment for the same price.”

If comparing his numbers at both teams, Gallo has been hitting .267 in six games for the Dodgers compared to the .159 with the Yankees. Not only this, but ever since he joined the Dodgers, they have not lost a single league game. And the Yankees are struggling to win a game.
