Graham Bensinger is a famous American sports journalist who became famous for his talk show. He has interviewed successful sports personalities from across various fields. So once Bensinger caught up with the great Albert Pujols. They, too, discussed the steroid issue in their talks. 

Bensinger asked Pujols, “I’m curious to get your thoughts on the steroid era. Because it was like the tail end of it when you were coming into the wig. What impact positive and negative do you think it had on the game of baseball?”

Pujols replied saying, “Hey listen, you know I think that the best thing is, mentally baseball created a program. That nobody can sneak at it anymore. I mean you see all the suspension gang, they’re going hard at it. They knew that there’s the issues. There was an issue happening in our gang and they clean it all that up. But like I say, I mean I don’t judge people. I think you know, you make your own decision. And if you choose to do something that you can know, by leaving our league. Hey, you gonna get penalized. But obviously we know there is a problem. But Mayor Bud has done a great job.” 

Baseball’s decades-long fight with the steroid scandal

Steroid usage in baseball has gone as far as to exclude legendary players from a Hall Of Fame entry. The prime reason why extraordinary achievers like Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, Roger Clemens, etc. got snubbed. The debate for their inclusion still rages on, with speakers equally joining in on both sides.
