The new signing of Matt Carpenter is proving to be a masterstroke for the Pinstripes.

With the help of Matt Carpenter and James Taillon, the Aaron Boone-led team won the second game by 2-0. It has been just two days since the Yankees signed Carpenter to their roster, and the veteran hitter smacked a home run in the Tropicana Field and won the game for his new team.

Taking to Twitter, Talkin Yanks shared the video of the same. It was Carpenter’s first home run for the New York Yankees. Even at 36, his bat swing is as good as any young baseball hitter’s.
Jameson Taillon steals the show from the mound
Leave the hitters. The Yankees pitchers have been the most underrated heroes in the current season. The Yankees star ace Gerrit Cole has, once again, failed to leave his mark this season.

But pitchers like Nestor Cortes Jr. and Jameson Taillon have been the unsung heroes from the mound. Earlier in the first game, Nestor dominated the game, and now Taillon stood tall against the Rays on Friday.
As a starting pitcher, Taillon pitched eight innings for the Yankees and conceded zero runs from the mound.
