The New York Yankees could well be title contenders in 2022. Despite a quiet off-season, the Yankees have really pushed into league-leading contention with their record so far. And their offense deserves a bulk of the credit for it. With their hitting line-up getting into a purple patch and hitters Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge finding some form, the Yankees are absolutely flying. And their bullpen has been no slouch either. With an MLB topping record, the Yankees look like the team to beat right now.

And as they took on the Minnesota Twins, the Yankees showcased their complete talents. Especially from home plate. Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton both homered in the first as the Yankees snatched an early lead and never gave it back. Anthony Rizzo contributed from home plate to seal the deal for the New York Yankees as they romped out of Target Field 10-4 winners on the night.

Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton combine for the perfect start

The Yankees’ hitting line-up is shaping up to be formidable. And on this night, they showed just why. With Aaron Judge having completed a 431-foot homer in the first innings, Giancarlo Stanton added to the tally with another to raise the Yankees’ lead in the 1st. The team spirit shone through, but so did the competition.

Already leading by two homers courtesy of Aaron Judge and the rest of the line-up, Stanton launched one 445-feet into the second tier to bring up a solo homer. And while not necessarily a record-breaking run, it certainly added to the aura around the Bronx Bombers this season.

With the two hitters combining for a total of 876-feet traveled by the ball, it was surely a feast for all in the ballpark. Their recorded win takes them to a 40-15 record, the best in MLB at the moment, and most definitely enough to snag the 2022 AL East divisional title. But much of the season is yet to be played yet.

New York Yankees – Potential title contenders?

The Yankees have not only started this season on a tear but have also continued their rich vein of form. It’s not only their hitting that has grabbed attention but also their bullpen that has bought together some star performers in Nestor Cortes Jr. and James Taillon.

The Yankees pitching staff has delivered so well this season, that even their ace has relief. Gerrit Cole, the Yankees frontline pitcher before the season, has had time to excel as a part of the rotation without shouldering the complete burden for the Pinstripes.

And while it has all been clicking for the Yankees so far this season, their record reflects that too. Surely, if their star players can carry on performing, a season of glory is in the offing. And the fans are all here for it.
