New York Yankees have been a surprise package in the 2022 season. After a poor season in 2021 and the kind of free agency they had, no one expected them to play such good baseball. Whether from the mound or the plate, the Pinstripes have dominated every opponent they have faced in 2022.

Under the guidance of Aaron Boone, the Yankees have shown versatility in probably every game. And that is the main reason they have been successful this season. They are not dependent on certain players to win the game.

Different players have risen on occasions to win it for the Pinstripes. Especially, the duo of Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton have been firing all guns from the plate. When talking about the offensive aspect, no team is even close to the Yankees. After their recent victory over the Chicago White Sox, Boone discussed the offensive performance of the Yankees.

New York Yankees scored back to back double-digit scores

Once again, Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton stole the show. After their offensive show in the first game, the Yankees displayed their dominance in the second game as well. They won the game 10-4 against the White Sox.

Talking about the team’s performance, the Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone appreciated the energy and attitude of his players.

“They held us down there a little bit and crawled back into the game a little bit… A lot of really good at-bats, just to tack on. Because the energy was there throughout late,” Boone said. “We wanted to tack on… They did a good job of holding down and then they were able to breakthrough in the night, which was good to keep adding…”

Yankees to win the World Series in 2022?

Irrespective of opponents, the Yankees have been a force to reckon with. In the ongoing four-game series against the Chicago White Sox, the Yankees won the second game on Friday.

With just eight defeats out of 32 games, the Yankees are the only MLB team not to lose more than ten games. If the Yankees continue to play like this for the rest of the season, it will not be a surprise if they end up winning the World Series title.
