San Francisco Giants are enjoying a decent season in the National League. With the LA Dodgers and San Diego padres in the same division, the Giants are at third in the NL West. Although the Giants have touched no silverware in the past 5-6 years, they had one of the best teams in MLB during the 2012 season.

During the 2012-13 season, San Francisco-based teams peaked in their respective sports. The Giants won the World Series in the 2012 season, while the NFL team, the San Francisco 49ers, also made it to the Super Bowl 2013. Such was the domination of the San Francisco-based teams in MLB and NFL.

When the 2013 season was in motion, the then 49ers quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, did something incredible in the ballpark that stunned everyone. Kaepernick threw the first pitch for the Giants at AT&T Park. And how? He threw the 1st pitch like a professional pitcher.

Colin Kaepernick stole the show for the San Francisco Giants

Though Kaepernick is not a professional baseball player, he stole the show with his first pitch against the Miami Marlins during the 2013 season. Many people might not know this, but during the 2009 off-season, the Chicago Cubs drafted Kaepernick in the 43rd round. However, he swapped his professional career and became a football player.
