Donald Cerrone Achieves a Major Milestone Ahead of UFC Vegas 11

Donald Cerrone has been one of the stalwarts of the UFC. The 37-year-old has been in the promotion since 2011 but has never been involved in any form of controversy. Inasmuch, he has built his reputation on being one of the fairest fighters in the game.
Ahead of his fight against Niko Price, the UFC veteran was felicitated by Jeff Novitzky on behalf of the UFC for reaching a landmark of successfully passing 50 USADA tests. A truly incredible feat for any fighter.

Donald now finds himself at a precarious position, with four fights on the trot. With Niko Price in front of him, getting back into the win column will not be an easy feat.

Can Donald Cerrone bounce back from a four losing streak?
After a stint in the welterweight division with some notable fights in the division against the likes of Lawler, Till, and Masvidal, Cerrone made his return to the lightweight division.
He was welcomed back to the division by up-and-coming fighter Alexander Hernandez. ‘Cowboy’ turned back the clock with an amazing TKO finish over a fighter 10 years his junior. Following this fight, he secured a unanimous decision win over Al Iaquinta.
‘Cowboy’, now 2-0 in his return to the division, was set up against Tony Ferguson at UFC 238. ‘El Cucuy’ was on an impressive winning streak at the time of his fight against ‘Cowboy’. However, the fight was stopped in the second round as his eye was completely shut.

Following his loss to Tony Ferguson, Cerrone was set up against Justin Gaethje. The fight did not last too long as Gaethje stopped Donald in the very first round of the fight. Cerrone was now 2-2 in his last four fights at lightweight.
In January 2020, Cerrone welcomed the biggest star of the UFC, Conor McGregor, back to the sport. The fight was at welterweight and marked his return to the welterweight division. The fight lasted all of 40 seconds as Conor McGregor finished ‘Cowboy’ in style.

Cerrone’s last fight was in May of this year against Anthony Pettis, a fight he lost via unanimous decision. He is now 0-4 in his last four fights, a situation he has never faced before. Previously, Cowboy had lost only three on the trot. In Niko Price, Cerrone faces an opponent who is fresh off a loss against Luque.
