Francis Ngannou’s coach, Fernand Lopez, spoke to the media on the collapse of his relationship with the Cameroonian born UFC superstar.

Considered as the hardest hitter in the UFC, Francis Ngannou has been on a roll. Since his defeat to current Champion Stipe Miocic and Derrick Lewis, Ngannou has had a 4-fight win streak, all first round stoppages.

However, all does not seem to be well in the Ngannou camp, according to coach Fernand Lopez. He detailed the issues in Francis’ attitude once he began rising to stardom.

Lopez described how Ngannou questioned how he as his coach could back Dana White’s criticism of him. “Being your coach, I have to tell you the truth,” Lopez told the Cameroonian superstar.

Lopez noted that Ngannou acted like he was his own coach and manager. He stated that he had issues with Ngannou refusing to perform certain drills while getting ready for the Stipe fight.

“Everyone is scared of you and wants to be close to you, but I don’t give a damn,” he continued. “If I feel like you have an ego problem, I will tell you that you have an ego problem.”

Lopez expressed his emotions to Ngannou stating, “Are you serious? I’m the coach, I’m the one who studies this, I know how to do it.” He concluded that many people would agree with him regarding Ngannou’s attitude problem.

“Listen, I really think one hundred percent that you have an ego problem,” Lopez said, being frank with Ngannou. “If you don’t like it, no problem, we cannot work together anymore.”

When Ngannou lost to Lewis in 2018, Dana White had some harsh words for him. Now, Fernand Lopez seems to back that claim.
