Kalinn Williams had a stellar 2020 with the UFC. ‘Khaos’ made his UFC debut on short notice against Alex Morono in February. The American fighter made the most out of the opportunity. He could not have asked for a better debut as he stopped Morono inside thirty seconds of the very first round.

Williams was then matched up against fellow knockout artist Abdul Razak Alhassan. In a freak coincidence, it took Williams just thirty seconds once again to stop his opponent with one of the most devastating KO’s ever seen in UFC history. A straight right through the guard of Alhassan knocked him out cold with his toes curled up.

Kalinn Williams speaks on his first loss in the UFC

In a recent interview with Mike Heck, Kalinn was asked what he made of the fight against Pereira and who he thought won the fight. ‘Khaos’ replied, “I mean at the end of the day I would not have put my hands up if I did not feel that I won”

“The main reason I feel like I won is because I held the middle of the cage, I was bringing the fight to him. It is not easy as it looks being in there when you got someone dancing around and staying on the outside it’s a lot harder to really dial in.”

Williams continued, “So now I became the aggressor… It was more of me counter punching because I did not want to go out there and look sloppy. I’m the one that was bringing the aggression. I was not as aggressive as I usually am, but that was because I was taking my time and I didn’t want to be sloppy…. I won every exchange, every time he hit me once I probably hit him three times, so I felt like I won.”

The majority of fans and pundits alike felt that Kalinn Williams won the fight. However, it was ‘Demolidor’ who secured a unanimous decision win over Williams.
