Curtis Blaydes will walk into the octagon this weekend and will take on fellow heavyweight contender Derrick Lewis at the main event of UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs Lewis. This contest will play a huge role in the heavyweight division, as it is a bout between the #2 and #4 of the division.

Blaydes currently stands in the #2 spot in the heavyweight division ranking boasting a record of 14-2-0, 1NC while his opponent Derrick Lewis currently holds a record of 24-7-0, 1NC standing at the #4 spot in the rankings.

A high-profile fight between two of the most well-renowned fighters carries a lot of weight. Both these fighters have been around for a long time, and each of them carries personal UFC records that will most probably stand the test of time.

What’s more, he ranks #1 in the heavyweight division in total control time, having been in control for 1 hour 13 minutes, and 28 seconds. He also holds the record for the longest time in the top position with 59 minutes and 44 seconds.

Curtis Blaydes will be walking into the octagon to face a fighter who has a handful of records to his name as well. Alexander Volkov has the highest number of wins in the division’s history, with the second-highest number of finishes. He ranks #1 in the most fights won via KO/TKO in the heavyweight division.
