Mohammad Kaif Unveils Scandal Involving Pakistan Sensation Naseem Shah And His Age

Former India player Mohammad Kaif took a dig at the 16-year-old bowling sensation from Pakistan Naseem Shah, who amazed the world with his impressive bowling. However, Kaif took to Twitter and tweeted over where he highlighted an old tweet that mentioned the young bowler to be 17-year-old.

The tweet which was saying Naseem Shah 17, posted by Pakistan Journalist Saj Sadik one year ago. Mohammad Kaif hilariously replied over the tweet, he wrote, “Looks a terrific prospect. But is 16 now, ageing backwards I think”.

This has brought the age issue in Pakistan in the limelight once again. Last time, when Pakistan’s cricket was under the scanner for age controversy, it was involved the famous all-rounder Shahid Afridi, who mentioned his real age in his book ‘Game Changer’.

According to the book, his age is way too different than the age he used to mention at the time of his cricketing career. Thus, with this tweet of Mohammed Kaif, the question certainly aroused over the attention and suspicion towards the real age of the youngster.

The Pakistani bowler, Naseem Shah has earned praises from all over the world for his unbelievable talent. He made his debut this week in the ongoing Test series between Pakistan and Australia and made everyone his fan with his lethal bowling. Even his bowling troubled the players like David Warner and Joe Burns. Moreover, it took him only 7 overs to take his first international wicket as well.

However, one of the replies to Kaif’s tweet had something else to say. A picture of a newspaper article from 2016 where Naseem Shah was described as a 16-year-old.

Former Australia captain Steve Smith had also commented before the Test that Naseem was someone half his age and shared their plans too. “We’ll try to make him bowl long spells. At 16, he wouldn’t be used to that,” he had said.
