As you can see in the post above, Nick Kyrgios was playing in Cincinnati. After a couple of shots, he approached the net to hit his first volley. However, to win the point, he had to hit a second one, which was incredible. His opponent had no chance of returning this volley, seeing as it was executed so well. This was just one of the many incredible shots that Kyrgios has played throughout his career.

Nick Kyrgios’ Response

This post did not go unnoticed by the Australian who replied through his Instagram story. While many felt the shot was incredible, Kyrgios felt that it was ridiculous. On his story, he wrote, “Most ridiculous dive volley ever, absolutely no need.”

Even though Nick feels this shot was ridiculous, many do not. He has an incredible game and that has led to many people thinking that he is a NextGen player who can break the reign of the ‘Big 3’, which has lasted for a very long time. So, why hasn’t the Australian broken it yet?

Many believe that this is because of the number of controversies that Kyrgios has gotten into. Last year, at the Cincinnati Masters, he got fined over $100,000 because of a meltdown in the middle of his second-round match against Karen Khachanov.
