All You Need to Know About the NASCAR All-Star Race

The highly anticipated NASCAR All-Star race is set for this weekend. Twenty NASCAR stars will race for the All-Star title and a massive pot of $1 million at Bristol.

The race will start on Wednesday, 15th July at 8:30 PM EST. The Open race will run at 7:00 PM EST on the 0.533-mile track, ahead of the main race.

The race will have four stages of one 55 lap stage, two 35 lap stages, and a final 15 lap dash totaling to 140 laps. Additionally, the Open race will have three stages of 35 laps, 35 laps, and 15 laps.

Joe Gibbs Racing’s driver, Martin Truex Jr. will start from the pole. Alongside him will be Alex Bowman in his number 88 Hendricks Motorsports car.

Fox NASCAR posts a video with faces of Cup drivers like Kurt Busch, Kyle Busch, and Chase Elliott pasted over some actors’ faces driving ‘underglow’ cars to express their excitement for the race. They wrote, “Rolling up to the All-Star Race on Wednesday“.

As the day comes closer, drivers are gearing up for the race. Recently, to show their excitement for the race many former winners like Kyle Busch and Kurt Busch posted promo videos with their highlights from the past races.

NASCAR All-Star Open will decide the fate of a few

Currently, sixteen drivers stand on the grid. They have already qualified for the race by virtue of results or being former winners. The last three slots will go to the top performers of the All-Star Open race. Many top drivers including Aric Almirola will contend for the remaining seats.

Last year, Kyle Larson won the All-Star Open to qualify for the final race. Following this, he went on to win the NASCAR All-Star title in an epic race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Additionally, one final seat will go to the winner of the fan vote. The result of which will be announced after the NASCAR All-Star open race. As of now, Bubba Wallace looks like a firm contender for that seat.
