Team Penske driver Austin Cindric won the Alsco 300 to become the first driver to win back to back NASCAR Xfinity races two nights in a row. This is the first instance of a driver winning races two nights in a row since Richard Petty did it in 1971 at the very same track.

Yesterday, Cindric drove his in the No. 22 Team Penske car to the finish line to win his first NASCAR Xfinity race at an oval. And tonight, he repeats his result to take home the victory again. He led 130 laps out of the 200 lap race and finished 2.262 seconds ahead of Chase Briscoe.

Additionally, the 21-year-old Cindric gave the most dominant performance of his career. This was his best performance in terms of ‘laps led’ and the way he dominated the rest of the pact.

Before an incident between Brandon Jones and Hemric brought out the caution flags, Cindric held a lead of over 12 seconds.

After that, Kaulig Racing’s Justin Haley and Ross Chastain finished in the third and fourth place. Following them was Justin Allgaier to complete the ‘Top-5’.

One other memorable performance of the night was put by Justin Allgaier. Allgaier was a lap down after getting in an incident in the first lap. However, he managed to put a strong show and finish the race at P5.

Austin expressed his happiness after creating a NASCAR Xfinity record

After the win, Austin said, “I‘m just so excited, this is all a credit to my team. What we did tonight was really impressive because we came with one set up last night and won the race and came with another setup tonight and won again. What happens at the shop and with the guys on the box so all the credit to them, I‘m the lucky one who gets to drive.”
