For the 2021 NASCAR Xfinity season, BJ McLeod Motorsports has re-signed Matt Mills. The 24-year old will return to his no. 5 car on a full-time basis, as opposed to sharing it with Vinnie Miller. In light of the announcement, JF Electric returned to the fray as Mills’ primary sponsor.

“We’re so happy to have both Matt (Mills) and J.F. Electric return to BJ McLeod Motorsports in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) for another season,” said founder BJ McLeod.

“Their commitment to our race team has allowed Jessica and I to continue to invest in, and improve BJ McLeod Motorsports. We believe that the No. 5 team will surprise people next season and we couldn’t be more excited to get started at Daytona in February,” he added.

For the coming season, Mills will be one of three full-time BJ McLeod Motorsports drivers in the 2021 Xfinity Series. In addition to that, the outfit teamed up with Matt Tifft to form Live Fast Motorsports. The new team is set to compete in the NASCAR Cup Series with the #78 Ford.

What did Mills say about his return to the NASCAR team?

The driver confessed that he was truly honored to get the opportunity to race for BJ McLeod Motorsports once again. Mills also admitted that when the McLeod family is involved, it is difficult not to get excited.

The 24-year old also acknowledged that the tie-up with Live Fast Motorsports is a massive boon. This is why he simply cannot wait until the new season finally kicks off in February with the Daytona 500.

Mills will partner with the likes of Jesse Little, Ryan Ellis, and Josh Bilicki. Like Matt Mills, Little is also racing on a full-time basis.

However, Ellis and Bilicki will split driving duties, though it seems that Ellis will have more races in the car. Hopefully, for their sake, the BJ McLeod team is able to achieve a fair amount of success in the NASCAR Xfinity series.
