There’s no doubt that Kyle Busch is a living legend of not just NASCAR, but American motorsports. The two-time Cup champion already has over 200 race wins in his career which is still going with his talent not seeming to wane any time soon either.

However, there’s a silver lining, or rather, a factor that elevates his performances to a whole new level.

This is what NASCAR spotter Brett Griffin recently talked about in an episode of the Door Bumper Clear podcast. “Kyle is a stud, period. He’s one of the best racecar drivers to have ever lived,” he said.

“If you look at his win percentage in my mind, he won a lot of races, when he was running a lot of races,” the spotter described. “When he’s running a truck, and he’s running a Xfinity car, and he’s running a Cup car, all in the same weekend, he hauls a** in all three of them.”

“Now that he’s not running the lower series all the time, it seems to me like his Cup win percentage since he stopped running so frequently, it’s slowed way down.”

The thing is, the spotter claimed that not only has JGR stepped off the pedal completely, but two big manufacturers have also entered the scene as he made a point about Busch not potentially having a seat next season.

“If you’ve got Chevrolet now entering the conversation to come after you, and you’ve got one Ford team that’s talking to you, and Gibbs has essentially, potentially stopped talking to you, you don’t have a lot of options if you’re Kyle Busch,” Griffin said.
