Bubba Wallace Congratulates Lewis Hamilton for Breaking Michael Schumacher’s F1 Record

On Sunday, Lewis Hamilton took his 92nd Formula One victory, effectively breaking Michael Schumacher’s record. Naturally, several athletes offered their congratulations to the British star. Among the well-wishers was the African-American driver, Bubba Wallace.
Wallace and Hamilton have a lot of respect for each other, even though they are in different spheres of motorsports. Hamilton has often acknowledged Wallace’s efforts to encourage more African-American racers in NASCAR. On the same wavelength, Wallace has applauded Lewis Hamilton’s achievements in Formula One.

Back in late September, Bubba Wallace congratulated Lewis Hamilton for making it onto the Time 100 list. He also spoke about the prospect of the Mercedes driver tying with Michael Schumacher in terms of championships.
He said, “Seven is a magic number in racing. Dale Earnhardt Sr, Jimmy Johnson, and Richard Petty have each won seven NASCAR titles. Lewis, 35, is young enough to keep winning championships and setting new all-time records.”
