Bubba Wallace Reveals His ‘Ultimate Goal’ in NASCAR in a Conversation with Popular Actor Kevin Hart

In a short time, Bubba Wallace has shown many glimpses of what he can do at the highest level in NASCAR. Many believe that the youngster outdid expectations at Richard Petty Motorsports in the No. 43 car. As he now gets ready to give it his best at the new team 23XI Racing, Wallace will be keen to work harder towards his ‘ultimate goal.’

In a fun conversation with popular actor and comedian Kevin Hart, Wallace revealed what his end goal is as a NASCAR driver. While all drivers talk about winning titles and races, the 27-year-old has set his sights right on the NASCAR ‘Hall of Fame.’

“My end goal, my ultimate goal, and everybody asks me. I hear all the drivers say, ‘to win championships, to win every race’. All that is great and I want to do that. But I want to be in the Hall of Fame. I want to go straight there,” Wallace said when Hart asked him about the ultimate goal in his career.

How Bubba Wallace started his racing career

As the two took cold ice baths while conversing, Hart even dug deep to find out more about Wallace’s career and when he started racing. Wallace expressed that he was nine years old when he started, much to Hart’s surprise.

“Which is late. You want to start when you are like five or six. Go-karts, and then you work up to the bigger cars, faster cars. When I was 14, I was in a full-size stock car,” Wallace said further.

Wallace also mentioned how he and his family built an interest in racing after watching a family friend take to the racetrack one day.

Can Wallace repeat his heroics in ‘NASCAR’s Super Bowl’?

He then expressed his excitement and pride over a second-place finish at the 2018 Daytona 500. With that finish, he became the first African-American driver to finish that high at the prestigious event, which he described to Hart as NASCAR’s ‘Super Bowl’.

Wallace will get another chance to replicate that performance and even go one better, in two months, at the 2021 Daytona 500. At 23XI Racing, he is in esteemed company with owners Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin. With better equipment promised to Wallace and with the support of a manufacturer like Toyota, Wallace will now aim to achieve consistently big results.
