Richmond was turning out to be a great race for Chris Buescher, but he narrowly missed a win. That, however, wasn’t the only interesting thing that happened for Buescher that Sunday as something unearthed about the driver during the race.

It was his whole name! And the credit goes to none other than the ultimate nickname champion of NASCAR, Dale Earnhardt Jr.

During the race, Junior kept calling him by his full name, Christopher. And this led to the RFK driver having to change his name.

Fortunately, Buescher saw an opportunity to get back and took to Instagram to announce his win.

The driver went up to Junior and got a picture with him standing in front of the car, which he posted later on. Not only that, but he took shots at Dale Jr, called him by his full name too with the post captioned, Only makes sense to get a photo with the man who started all this: Dale Jr… or should I say Ralph  #Christopher

Now, Earnhardt Jr. surely is fond of giving nicknames. In fact, he called Chase Elliott the “Young Elvis”. But how did Christopher Buescher come into existence? Well, let’s find out.
