CLOSEST FINISH EVER?: Noah Gragson Takes Victory by 0.32s at Bristol in the NASCAR Xfinity Race

Last night, at the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol, Noah Gragson held off Chase Briscoe by a mere 0.328 seconds to take home the win. He got the lead after a late incident with his teammate Justin Allgaier.

Last night, 21 years old Gragson took his second victory of the NASCAR Xfinity Series season. His No. 9 JR Motorsports Chevrolet edged Briscoe’s No. 98 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford by a slight .328 seconds for Gragson’s second triumph of the season.

In the race, Justin Allgaier was leading 156 of the 303 lap race. However, Gragson was chasing him very closely, and eventually, they made contact. The incident sent Allgaier’s No. 7 JR Motorsports Chevrolet into the divider and out of the competition. He finished the race at the eighteenth spot.

Notably, It was the third consecutive unlucky race for Allgaier at Bristol. He was leading over 100 laps but still wasn’t able to take the win.

Noah Gragson apologizes for causing the incident

After the race, Noah said, “I really apologize to Justin and the 7 team, that’s not how I want to race but I saw a position open up, he kind of slipped off the bottom the lap before and I tried to get to the bottom and I just got too loose,”. He added, “But it was one heck of a night for the team and his number 9 crew.”

Joe Gibbs Racing teammates Brandon Jones and pole winner Harrison Burton completed third and fourth., Followed by Myatt Snider at the fifth place. Myatt had a remarkable race as he rose up to the fifth-place finish after starting 22nd.

Gragson, Briscoe and other will race in the NASCAR Xfinity Dash 4 Cash

The top-four finishers at Bristol will get a chance to win an additional $ 100,000 at the Dash 4 Cash event. Gragson, Briscoe, Jones, and rookie Burton have qualified for the first round of the four-race Dash 4 Cash event. The special race will begins next weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
