If Kyle Larson were to summarise the 2022 season for himself, he’d probably call it an eventful one. There were ups and there were downs; at the end of it all, he couldn’t make it to the final race and defend his 2021 title. But for the Hendrick Motorsports driver, new reasons for celebration are here.

Starting the 2022 season, Larson was among the top contenders for the title. It was evident after his domination in the 2021 Cup Series and the historic win he secured. But what he did in 2021 was already a difficult task to do once; to do an encore was near impossible.

He finished the season with 10 wins, 20 top-5 finishes, and 26 top-10 finishes. It was one of the most dominating Cup Series seasons in recent memory with the last person to win 10 in a season being Jimmie Johnson in 2007. But this season was the complete opposite for Larson as he could only manage 1 win all season.

He could also not make the cut for the top 8 in the Playoffs after a bad performance at Charlotte. Larson also had other ‘issues’ in the season – the biggest one being his incident with Bubba Wallace.

Bubba and Larson got into a pushing match at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. An infuriated Bubba wrecked Larson quite dangerously. Incidentally, Larson’s only win of the season came right after Las Vegas, at Homestead.

A 10th-place finish was all Kyle Larson could muster for this season. With Chase Elliott unable to capitalize on his chance in the Championship 4 race, it was overall an unyielding season for the team. But with the off-season in the offing, both drivers will be looking to reset.

Kyle Larson’s daughter looks to be following in his footsteps

Fortunately for the Hendrick driver, he has the off-season to enjoy a little bit of family time. With his recent post about his daughter, Audrey Layne Larson, it seems he’ll be spending that time teaching her some of the tricks he has up his sleeves.

His post said “Look out boys” with the 4-year-old standing alongside a go-kart. A number of NASCAR legends and fans showered their love on the girl. Jimmie Johnson said, “#GirlPower” while Mark Martin posted a “ ❤️”.

The person who did the paint job on her car also commented “👏👏👏👏 yea buddy! Thanks again for trusting me with the paint work 🤝”.

Fans also chimed in and said, “Move over Danica, Jennifer, Haliee, There’s a future cup series driver coming.” Another one said, “This is going to be the next racer in the family! Go girl!”

One fan noted how interesting it is going to be to see the children of the current driving generation compete with each other, “I’m looking forward to this in about 15ish years! She’ll be putting Brexton, Keelan and baby Bowyer in their place! 😄😃😄”
