Once again, Kyle Larson has had a very busy week, travelling back and forth. This is because, he is juggling his dirt racing duties along with his Cup Series campaign. From Dover, he has to hop onto a flight back to Bristol for a late model and sprint car race. On Friday, he was running in a late model race when disaster struck. Apparently, he missed the call to be on the start line and had to start from the rear.

Speaking about that moment he said, “It was unfortunate how it all worked out. Just a little bit of miscommunication on all of our parts. It definitely won’t happen again tonight. There’s a lot that led into why we were late and all that. They had to make the call and I had to come from the back. They shouldn’t bend the rules. Had they bent the rules, there’d probably be 20 teams mad at them rather than just one.”

What else did Kyle Larson say about the hectic weekend?

In the end, he just had to accept the result and try to fight his way up the pack. Obviously, he cannot change the outcome, but he and his team can learn from their mistakes. He was also glad to see the reception at Bristol. According to Kyle Larson, the organisers have done a great job at promoting the race. Though he did wish that there would be more cars competing in the race, so that more fans can show up.

At the end of the day, he simply enjoys racing in the sprint cars and late model cars. Now, the driver will be focusing on the late model race at Bristol, and also the Cup race at Dover. The Hendrick Motorsports driver must also be careful about trying to do too much. Otherwise, he could run the risk of burning out and it could affect his ability to race.
