“He Got His First Pole Ran All the Laps and We Had Fun”: Kevin Harvick Shares Experience of His Son’s First Race

NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick shares his experience of his son’s first race. Kevin’s son Keelan made his go-karting racing debut last week.

Kevin posted a few pictures from the race day on Twitter. He wrote, “Long week of racing but my favorite race of the week was Keelan’s first!!! Got his first pole ran all the laps and we had fun!! #62

In recent years, Keelan has taken a couple of rides in his father’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series cars during victory celebrations. And it looks like he will be ready to get his own ride sooner than expected.

Last year, we found out that Kevin and Delana Harvick’s seven-year-old son has a keen interest in racing. After, Harvick’s wife posted a video on Twitter of Keelan getting some laps around the go-kart track. Now it looks like the training has paid off well and Jr Harvick is ready to race on the track.

Recently, Kevin Harvick won the NASCAR’s return race at Darlington. Currently, he sits at the top of the Cup Series points table. With a top ten finish at Charlotte, Harvick now leads Joey Logano by 14 points.

Last Thursday, Kevin Harvick finished tenth in the NASCAR Cup Series Alsco Uniforms 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. He extends his ‘top 10’ finish streak to 13 races. Harvick is the only driver to finish ‘top 10’ in every one of the eight races this season and the streak goes back to the previous fall.

Last week, He was leading for almost 63 laps at Charlotte. However, he had a short-run vehicle and was passed by the race winner Chase Elliott with 27 laps to go.
