NASCAR Cup Series Lands in Daytona for the Nail Biting Regular Season Finale, Here is How You Can Watch

NASCAR is heading to the Daytona International Speedway for Regular-Season finale. 13 drivers have already clinched a playoffs berth. 10 drivers have secured their seats by winning the races and 3 drivers – Aric Almirola, Kyle Busch, and Kurt Busch by points. However, only 5 drivers have a chance to secure a berth in the playoffs by points.

There will be no practice sessions or qualifying at Daytona this end of the week. In addition, the arrangement was dictated by utilizing NASCAR’s new formula, which considers finishing position from the past race (weighted half), positioning in group proprietor points (35%), and the quickest lap from the past race (15%).

Start time: 7:30 p.m. ET

The Saturday night’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Daytona will start shortly after 7:30 p.m. ET, assuming there are no rain delays. The Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona will run for 160 laps. The race should complete at least 80 laps so as to be official. NBC Sports will be the broadcaster for the NASCAR Cup Series race for the third time this season.

Cup Series Point leader Kevin Harvick will begin on pole subsequent to putting first in the entirety of the qualifying classifications. However, Johnson is right now 4 points behind his teammate William Byron who is in 16th position. Although, the Daytona Speedway is quite unpredictable. There can be even an upset winner that can change the whole scenario of the playoffs.
