Currently, every NASCAR fan’s favorite question is, ‘will the Busch brothers be in NASCAR in 2023?’. Admittedly, it would have been mostly centered around Kyle Busch. Especially given that M&M’s is leaving the sport, and he has no primary sponsor for next season.

However, Kurt Busch might have thrown a spanner in his own future with his qualifying crash at Pocono. This is because the accident has put him out of action for a number of races. Ahead of the Richmond race, Kyle Busch spoke about both of their futures.

He said, “Obviously, I want him to do whatever he wants to do and go out the way he wants to go out.”

“I kind of talked about that, where he and I had a conversation where he’s like, ‘Pocono qualifying crashes aren’t necessarily the the best way of going out’. I’m like ‘Yeah, you’re a 1000% right’.”

What else did Kyle Busch say about his brother?

With Kurt Busch out of action and some doubt about his career, does this open a door for Kyle?

It is a possibility, but the younger Busch is still holding out for Joe Gibbs Racing. Obviously, he has been with the organization for most of his career and has brought much success to the outfit. At the same time, he sympathized with his older brother’s issues and hopes that he recovers soon.

He continued, “So I just wish him the best that he can be and continue to get better and feel better and get through the processes.”

“It’s nothing like breaking a bone and being out with an arm injury or foot injury, or anything like that obviously. It’s the melon on top of your head that’s very important to your well-being going forward.”

“Let’s hope that all of that can go well for him and he can get back as soon and safe as possible.”

Another big question is, will Kurt Busch be out for the remainder of the regular season? Truthfully speaking, he can afford to do so because he has already qualified for the Playoffs. As things stand, he can still take some time off to be 100% fighting fit. On the other hand, one has to wonder if he can make it back in time for the Playoffs.
