Seeing your favorite team win at the Super Bowl is as joyous as it is rewarding. However, how about registering a win for yourself? Just like Denny Hamlin did at the Super Bowl this year.

Yes, he is a NASCAR driver; but hey, there is always a well-placed bet that can help one win big.

In the recent episode of his podcast, Actions Detrimental, Denny Hamlin revealed his big Super Bowl win. While talking about his bet on the game’s anthem, Hamlin told his co-host, Jared Allen, how he won the bet. Furthermore, when Allen asked him if he did well, Hamlin replied, “We did well Jared. We did well. I mean you’ve been with me in Vegas…”

Explaining how he already was in the group chat, Allen told Hamlin that he did have an idea about Hamlin’s big win. And agreeing with him, Hamlin shared his feelings about his win as well as his love for the Super Bowl. Proud to win big, the $65-million-worth (as reported by CelebrityNetWorth.com) driver said,

“Yeah, I always kind of equate it to like hey did we win a Corrolla or did we win maybe a new Alex SUV? You know, let’s just buy cars for the whole family. Let’s just have a fleet. So, it was a good night. That was awesome. I loved the Super Bowl. Such a great event. A lot of people come to it.”

How did Denny Hamlin win the bet?

During his conversation with Jared Allen, Denny Hamlin revealed the details of his bet. He shared,

“Their lock, by the way, was on the over on the anthem. Boy…it was close. So, I actually took the under on the anthem… to be under two minutes, two seconds, and a half.”

Furthermore, Hamlin explained that establishing his win wasn’t that easy. Explaining how there were some technicalities that hindered his win, the 23XI Racing co-owner said,

“I think the official time was 02:01 and a half. So, I had one second to spare. And then we are all arguing. Last night my friend talks about, ‘is it from when they strike the guitar or is it from when they first start singing?’ Because there are definitely two things. So, I think if you had over two minutes on the anthem, you won. If you had under 02:02 and a half, you won.”
