According to some recent reports, NASCAR will allow fans to attend the upcoming Cup Series races at Homestand-Miami or Talladega. Only a limited number of fans will be allowed and strict restrictions will be followed.

Motorsports journalist Adam Stern reveals in a recent tweet. He said that NASCAR is evaluating the current scenario and might allow fans on a trial basis in the upcoming race at Miami or Talladega.

Recently, after the Cup Series race at Bristol, NASCAR executive Steve O’Donnell posted a tweet indicating that NASCAR will allow spectators in the coming weeks. He said, “Nothing better than seeing the most passionate fans in sports at the track. When we get back in the Fall I hope it is a sellout!”

NASCAR made a huge decision to return to business after spending over 10 weeks in shut down. Soon it will have to take another such decision to allow fans to attend the races. The spectator numbers will be kept low to maintain all precautionary restrictions.

The push for allowing spectators is justifiable in light of the fact that live on-track action is a foundation of NASCAR racing’s popularity. And the overall environment is not the same without the cheering of the fans.

The health regulations are working fine for NASCAR

NASCAR crafted an extremely effective healthcare plan that allowed the teams to return on the track. So far, it is working fine with no reported incident of COVID-19. And no driver or team has failed the temperature checks required to enter the offices up until now.

However, it has only been fifteen days since the first return race at the Darlington Raceway. So it’s still very early to know whether the arrangement is working fine or not.
