The inaugural season of the Superstar Racing Experience (SRX) was a massive hit. So, fans were pretty excited for the second season to drop. Now, the SRX Series has heard their prayers and revealed the 2022 calendar for the fans. Unfortunately, many fans were soon angered when they saw the new calendar.

The Five Flags Speedway kicks off the season, followed by South Boston, Stafford, and Nashville Fairgrounds. Finally, the I-55 and the Sharon Speedway in Missouri and Ohio respectively, close out the season. Right off the bat, people noticed that one particular speedway was conspicuously absent.

Apparently, last year’s race at the Slinger Speedway was hugely popular with the fans. So, many were understandably furious when it was absent. Some even dubbed it an ‘L’ for loss for the fledgling series. All in all, the general consensus was that nobody appreciated the Slinger snub.

What awaits the fans for the second season of the SRX Series?

A few other fans were a little put out that Slinger was absent because it was their home track. There were some justifications, suggesting that the sport announced that the schedule would be different each year. Theoretically, the idea is to give people from different areas a chance to go and see the series in person. Meanwhile, others were also disappointed that their home tracks have not made it to the calendar.

Also missing from the calendar is the Knoxville Raceway, as well as the Lucas Oil Raceway and the Eldora Speedway. In other words, Five Flags, South Boston, I-55, and the Sharon Speedway are making their debuts. It is also worth mentioning that Stafford moves from the season opener to the third race of the season.
