Of all the drivers in the long list of enemies of Ty Gibbs, it can be argued that Noah Gragson is the one who holds the most equal footing against the Joe Gibbs Racing driver. However, Gibbs just added another name to this list.

His own teammate.

The #54 driver moved his JGR teammate, Brandon Jones, out of the way to win the race at Martinsville. Interestingly, Jones is going to replace Gragson in the #9 JR Motorsports car next season.

So it’s only natural that Gragson, who himself was in contention to win the infamous Clock trophy, was asked for his thoughts on what Gibbs did to his own teammate.

Firstly, the JRM driver described how it worked out fine for his team, considering Justin Allgaier got in. But then he carried on to lay out what he felt about Gibbs.

“I just know, Brandon (Jones) and I are friends and I know what it’d be like if I were in his shoes, I wouldn’t be too happy. He’s showing a lot more composure than I would be right now,” Gragson said. “I guess you’ve got to kind of deal with that when you’re driving that Ty Gibbs Racing car.”

“I mean Joe Gibbs Racing car.”

Noah Gragson isn’t surprised by Ty Gibbs

“He wouldn’t be smiling right now, taking pictures next to a clock right now. He’d be behind a stage with some extra-curricular activities…but that’s not my style,” Gragson further continued.

As for whether the JGR driver should feel worried about him, Gragson said that can’t be the case as he made a grim prediction about what’s ahead of the #54 driver.

“We’ve been collected in his stuff, pretty much everyone down the pit road has, it’s a dirtbag move and it’ll catch up to him,” he described.

When asked if he was shocked by what happened to Jones, the JR Motorsports driver said without skipping a beat, “You can’t be surprised.”
