It’s no secret that Kevin Harvick has a temper. The former Richard Childress Racing driver has been, throughout his career, a big part of several feuds and altercations with fellow drivers, both on and off-the-track.

And it was one of those altercations that has stayed with NASCAR driver Corey LaJoie.

In a recent interview with The Athletic, LaJoie was asked what his reaction would be if somebody wrecked him to win a race – Would he interrupt their celebration?

“I think about when I was a little kid — I forgot what year it was (2002 at Bristol), but I was watching a Busch Series race at the (Motor Racing Outreach) suite. My dad was racing. (Greg) Biffle wrecked (Kevin) Harvick and Harvick jumped over the decklid and grabbed Biffle by the firesuit in victory lane,” LaJoie replied.

“I thought that was the coolest shit ever.”

He added, “So absolutely, if I got trashed for the win, I would pull the old Kevin Harvick.”

“I don’t know why, but when you’re 25, you feel like you have to make a scene out of everything. And at that particular point, I felt like I needed to make a scene out of everything,” Harvick said.

Harvick continued, “Just the first instinct was, leap from the wall, over the deck lid and top rope and I had Biffle by the collar and I didn’t really know what to do from that particular point because it was like a big mosh pit.”
