Ty Majeski has been considered one of the brighter prospects tipped of making it to NASCAR. Even though he has showcased his ability elsewhere, it has never really materialized for him in the Truck or Xfinity Series.

However, that has not stopped him from continually stacking up victories in the shorter tracks. He recently won the South Carolina 400 race at the Florence Motor Speedway, besides a list of other races he has secured victories in this year.

However, NASCAR remains the prime objective for Majeski and he is eagerly awaiting opportunities. He knows, that for that to happen, he will have to keep building his reputation bit by bit.

“But there were a lot of different factors, and it’s difficult when you run so good the season before, because it’s difficult to veer away from what you know, right?

“You see in Super Late Model racing too, and I’ve been guilty of it with my team too, that when you’re running good, you get complacent or you’re hesitant to change something until it’s too late.”

The 26-year-old from Seymour received his first full-time Truck Series chance with Niece Motorsports. However, he got taken off the entry list after disappointing in his first 15 races in the division.

He continued and said, “We just wanted to know the schedule so we could aggressively start selling these races and talk to different race teams.

“Now that we know what the schedule looks like, we can see what’s available and what makes sense.”

“So, I’m hoping to put a good deal together for next year, even if it’s just part-time and something that puts me in a good situation,” concluded Majeski.

Majeski’s next assignment will be in the famed Snowball Derby at Florida, which would also have Chase Elliott. If he can keep up the good form going consistently, a chance could come sooner than later for him.
