Hailie Deegan is having the best season of her career so far. She is in an amazing form. Hailie has 5 top 10 finishes out of the 6 races of the NASCAR ARCA Menards series. The driver went into the Kentucky race in 2nd position on the driver’s standings.

However, the outing wasn’t the one to remember as she crashed out on lap 77. Her car came in contact with the no. 15 car of Drew Dollar when she was running on forth.

Nonetheless, Hailie completed the race in 14th place as a result of the incident. In addition, she currently stands at 4th position in the Drivers’ Championship.

In the interview, she explained how the incident happened and what details she found out after taking a closer look.

She said, “It’s just, everyone is close racing. Some people just don’t know how to race on bigger tracks sometimes. Inexperience, there is a lot of inexperienced drivers out there, while I am learning.

“Pretty much I wasn’t moving up, I was right there. And I just got hooked.”

After that, she talked about how inexperience and bad driving on part of a few drivers can lead to such incidents. She said, “It happens I guess, it’s racing. When you have a lot of drivers with inexperience on the track it happens.”

She added, “Goes around comes around but at the end of the day, we have a fast car. We had a fast practice, we had a good run going in there. A lot of mistakes are being made by other drivers that we are capitalizing on, it sucks to end it like that. It happens in racing I guess.”

“So I guess we learn from that and be cautious around inexperienced guys. Just cover from here. Try to capitalize on every single race and get points as we come back.”
