Currently racing full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, Kyle Busch is an American NASCAR racing driver and a truck series team owner. He drives the No. 18 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing.

In addition to his Cup duties, he is also a part-time racer in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 54 Toyota Supra for JGR. He also races in the NASCAR Gander RV and Outdoors Truck Series, driving the No. 51 Toyota Tundra for Kyle Busch Motorsports. His team runs different trucks in the Truck Series.

He is the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series champion. One half of the Busch duo, Kyle is a two-time NASCAR Cup series champion, having won the series in 2015 and 2019.

Busch was the pole sitter at the California Speedway in 2005, making him NASCAR’s youngest one in a Cup Series aged 19 years and 317 days. In addition, he is the only driver to dominate a race and a title for Toyota in the Cup Series. He won the race at the Atlanta Motor Speedway in the 2008 season and the 2015 Cup Series title.

Busch started his NASCAR career when he was only 16 years of age in the Truck Series. He drove the No. 99 Roush Fenway Racing Ford when he got his 1st chance to start as a reserve driver for Nathan Haseleu. His first race was in 2001 at Lucas Oil Raceway. Busch got off to a good start with a 10th place finish in his very first race.

In 2003, ‘The Candy Man’ got a big break in NASCAR when he became the developmental driver for Hendrick Motorsports. He drove for the team in seven ARCA RE/MAX Series races and even scored his first win. Busch drove the No. 87 Chevrolet for seven races in the Xfinity Series after he turned 18.

It was declared that Busch would race for Hendrick Motorsports in the full season NASCAR Cup Series toward the end of the 2004 season. Busch drove the No. 5 Chevrolet replacing Terry Labonte. Above all, Busch impressed everyone by winning his first race in the game’s top arrangement at the Auto Club Speedway.

However, in June 2007, it was declared that Busch would leave the legendary Hendrick Motorsports team toward the end of the 2007 season. Busch, then announced that he would race for the Joe Gibbs Racing the for the 2008 season. He drove the No. 18 Toyota replacing J.J. Yeley.
