Then, there were players like Jordan Poole, Andrew Wiggins, and Andre Iguodala who provided supporting roles. Andrew Bogut is usually forgotten in these conversations.

He was selected no.1 overall in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. Bogut was inducted into the All-NBA Third Team in 2010 and the All-NBA Second Defensive Team in 2015. He also led the lead in blocks in 2011. He won the 2015 NBA title with the Golden State Warriors.

But these days, his name has come under disrepute. After making a sexist joke about Kendall Jenner in a tweet, he has since tripled down on it. However, Bogut is no stranger to controversies. He recently got backlash for his tweet and soon after, he tweeted again following Kendall Jenner’s reported breakup with Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker.

After the 2022 NBA Draft, the former Warriors big man wrote, “With the 2022 NBA draft completion yesterday, one big name has yet to find a home. Which team will snap up Kendall Jenner ?? Solid talent, versatile. ?? marks around team culture + habit of endless self-promotion. Doctors will need to do medical as body has been banged up.” Subsequently, he came up with a tongue-in-cheek apology.

He wrote, “I would like to formally apologize for this tweet. My scout take forgot to include the elite level of rebounding. I will do better in the future.” He has tripled down on it, calling it a joke, and referencing the recent reports surrounding Booker and Jenner’s relationships status.

Bogut was in the starting lineup of Stephen Curry’s Warriors

In 2015, the Australian big man was a part of the starting lineup alongside Stephen Curry for the Golden State Warriors. He averaged 8 rebounds per game and was a great physical presence on both ends of the court.

Andrew Bogut got injured in Game 3 of the 2015 NBA Finals. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Golden State experimented with their small-ball lineup with Andre Iguodala. The Warriors won the title without the presence of Bogut. However, Curry missed out on the Finals MVP award that season.
