With the return of Kyrie Irving to the Brooklyn Nets, it seemed things were about to get better for them. However, what we are seeing is quite the opposite. The Nets are on a shocking nine-game losing streak. Moreover, Kevin Durant remains on the sidelines with an injury. In addition to all this, reports say that James Harden was unhappy with Kyrie’s part-time role as well as his position within the organization, stirring up all the possible trade talks.

James Harden will stay a Net

While on the NBA Countdown show, Woj spoke about the situation with the Nets and Philadelphia. He said the Nets have been apart due to all the injuries. Moreover, he still thinks anything is possible with the trade deadline coming in. But according to his sources, the Nets and Sixers are no longer discussing a trade.

This puts an end to all the excitement of the Harden-Simmons swap. The Simmons saga is set to continue and the Sixers will have to figure other ways to free up their roster. With Embiid in his prime, this is their best shot to add some good pieces around him. On the other hand, the Nets will have to fight through current dark times.

Currently, not only Durant but the Beard is also injured and hasn’t played in any of the last three games. While he may be unhappy with some things, the Nets will have to regather as a team and figure things out. With a potential championship roster on their hands, Brooklyn remains to be a major threat to the throne.
