Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Comes to Billionaire Rapper Kanye West’s Defense for Donda Academy Following Shutdown

Kanye West has been in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons. His recent comments have attracted a lot of negative attention, and several top companies are cutting ties with the legendary rapper. Not only that, Ye’s Donda Academy is set to shut down for the school year. This has affected a lot of students, and Celtics star Jaylen Brown has come to the defense of Ye’s Academy after it shut down.
After West was getting hammered from all corners of the globe, students of his academy for in for a shock. Reports suggest that students received an email from the school which announced it was closing the year. A statement read, “Our leadership team will be working diligently to assist all families during this transition, ensuring that every scholar has what they need to succeed in their next community in a prompt and gracious manner. We intend to begin afresh in September of 2023.”

This left the students and parents in a loop as the academic year is well underway. The basketball program at Donda also took a massive hit, as it had several top prospects for the NBA draft.
Jaylen Brown defends Kanye West’s Donda academy
Celtics star Jaylen Brown was part of Donda Sports until recently. He and Aaron Donald left due to West’s antisemitic comments. But Brown defended the Donda academy, and he praised the facilities available there.

He said,” A lot of great teachers, parents, and students are affected by this. It is easy to speak from the outside looking in I spent time at Donda academy and it is a lot better than some public schools in America with a better curriculum high school students were fully accredited.”

Donda Academy is not the only one affected by Kanye West’s comments. Adidas cut ties with West after he taunted them on a talk show and they are set to discontinue the Yeezy line of shoes. GAP and Balenciaga have also cut ties with West. And top athletes are also leaving Donda Sports. But there is some hope for the students. Rumors suggest that the school is set to be reopened in a while.
