“I Beat Stephen Curry With the Shot”: Assisting the Warriors Star, Anthony Joshua Fanboyed Over His Under Armour Partner in 2018

During the NBA playoffs four years ago, the two faces of Under Armour, Stephen Curry, and Anthony Joshua, met before and after a game. And the excitement can be seen on both of their faces, especially on Joshua’s face. It seemed like a fanboy moment for the British boxer. The performance brand, Under Armour, didn’t pass up the opportunity. They posted the video of its two popular athletes on the internet.

On May 23, 2018, before the game between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets, Curry came out of the locker room to meet Joshua. Curry with a basketball in hand punched it to pass it to Joshua, and then Joshua passed him the ball back.

Then Curry made the three-pointer. The superstars then shook hands and Curry went back to the locker room. Then Joshua made a funny comment saying, “I beat Stephen Curry with the shot.” 

In the game between the Warriors and the Rockets in the Oracle arena, the Rockets came out victorious winning by 3 points. After the game, Joshua was invited to meet Curry.

When the two superstars met backstage, Anthony Joshua talked about the game, and how Curry was doing. Joshua shared his perspective of the game. To which Curry added how they were playing for months, 82 games, and now the playoffs. In the end, Stephen Curry appreciated Joshua for coming to the game and they embraced and clicked some photos together.

The video of the two stars meeting backstage was posted on Facebook by Under Armour. The brand signed Curry in 2013 and after almost a decade with them, Curry has become the face of the brand. It was recently reported that Curry could become a billionaire with his upcoming lifetime deal with Under Armour.

On the other hand, the British boxer and former WBA title holder got a deal from Under Armour in 2016 and today he earns 8 million pounds from his current deal.
