The 95th Academy Awards ceremony recently took place at Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The host for this year’s Oscars was Jimmy Kimmel. Unsurprisingly, he made sure to not go light on jokes about Will Smith’s slap on last year’s host Chris Rock. Kimmel’s several jibes at the Hollywood superstar were a major talking point about the ceremony. Further, this comes amidst the recent controversy over Rock’s comedy special. In other words, the revisits to the smacking incident don’t seem to cease any time soon.

After the slapgate incident, Chris Rock remained relatively silent. However, he came out swinging with his Netflix special Selective Outrage. He called out Will and Jada Pinkett Smith during the show and stirred major controversy. NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal recently gave his take on the comedian’s “bi*ch” jokes.
