Amid Fiery James Harden Trade Rumors, 76ers Star Grabs $10,000 Payday Just Before Christmas

The Philadelphia 76ers make it to the news again amid the James Harden trade rumor. The 76ers are in a commanding place in the points table with promising performances. The team stands in 5th position of the Eastern Conference with a 19-12 record. However, the noise around camp could affect the momentum of the players. Nevertheless, as a silver lining, the team recently got a moment to smile, thanks to a certain $10,000 donation.

The NBA recognizes individual players every month of the regular season for their dedication to the community and youth development. Moreover, it awards the individual with the NBA Cares Community Assist Award each month. Additionally, the player receives donations to further contribute to the community or a cause of their choice.

The NBA announced in a statement that Tyrese Maxey was selected as the NBA Cares Community Assist Award winner for the month of November. Moreover, the league donated $10,000 to Tyrese Maxey Foundation for the same. The NBA recognized the generous efforts of ‘Mad Max’ to society during Thanksgiving. The 76ers star  said, “I feel really connected to families in Philly and Dallas because they work so hard day in and day out and I understand that hustle – to be in a position to give back, I’m truly blessed”.

Maxey is all set to receive the honor during the 76ers home against the Los Angeles Clippers in an on-court ceremony. The 76ers head coach Doc Rivers to present the award to the star guard.

James Harden may return to Houston

In a recent podcast episode, ESPN’s NBA reporter Tim Macmohan provided his insights on James Harden’s potential trade to Houston Rockets. Harden left the Rockets after the 2020-21 season to continue his quest to win his maiden NBA Championship. Macmohan said, “Hey if things don’t work out in Philly, keep an eye out on James Harden back to Houston“.
