With all the talks of the new NBA season having begun, the Eastern Conference seems to be shaping up fine. Champions Milwaukee Bucks have their lineup close to being set, but not without competition. After a wobbly season, a star-studded Brooklyn Nets will be aiming to challenge the men in green in the Eastern half. But they are not the only competition that Giannis and co. will have to worry about. The raging Chicago Bulls are on their way to building an astounding team, and will also be in the scheme of things next year.
The Bulls had a poor outing in 2020-21. Having failed to make it even to the play-in tournament, they will aim to redeem themselves in the upcoming season. Led by their star guard Zach LaVine, Chicago finished 11th in the regular season. However, their aspirations are far higher, hence causing them to bring about changes in their setup. And with only a couple of months to go, Billy Donovan’s side is fully charged. They are on the verge of completing some record signings and have also been linked to many lead prospects.

After the disappointing end to their campaign, the off-season will be like a rebuilding phase for the Bulls. For a side that was so used to winning NBA Championships, the 21st century has brought about a dry patch. This year, however, Chicago is well on its way to being termed a favorite in the East again. Powerful attackers, experienced campaigners, and exuberant youngsters can possibly be the hallmarks of the red devils soon.

According to reports, the Chicago Bulls are very close to landing a sign-and-trade deal for DeMar DeRozan from San Antonio. The All-star has announced that he will part ways with Spurs, meaning that a trio of LaVine, DeRozan, and Vucevic is loading. In addition, the inclusion of Alex Caruso to the Bulls will fill the back-court like nobody’s business. This can potentially mean that Chicago is on par with the likes of Brooklyn and Milwaukee, or even Miami.
