Carmelo Anthony is one of the best scorers the NBA has ever seen. Over the years, he has had some epic duels with opponents like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, etc. But his feud with Celtics legend Kevin Garnett was something else. After the altercation, Carmelo was so angry that he went to the Celtics’ locker room and then the team bus to confront Garnett.

Kevin Garnett was one of the best trash talkers in the NBA and played mind games with his opponents. He was very good and spontaneous at it and used it to get under the skin of his opponents. But people think he takes it way too far at times.

One of Carmelo Anthony’s teammates during his New York Knicks time was Iman Shumpert. He hasn’t played in the NBA for a while, even though he hasn’t officially retired. And he has been making himself busy by appearing in various shows and podcasts. In the recent episode of DJ Vlad podcasts, Shumpert talked about the Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Garnett feud.

Iman said that he was actually hurt that game, so he had to move back and forth from the locker room to the game now and then to get treatment. He said, “… But yeah, I remember Melo being like, like cotton mouth man like he just wasn’t letting it go. But it was like a grown man like, y’all know it’s just a grown man say something like that it’s just,..”

Shumpert couldn’t believe that Garnett would say something like that to another grown man and said that it was disrespectful. Then the host admitted that some people feel very offended by it and that rapper Fat Joe said that he would stab the person if he was disrespected like that.

And Shumpert said that the rapper was being honest and admitted that some people are really offended by the term. He also said that it is very triggering for some people, especially for some who have friends or relatives in jail.

Iman then said that it was a regular with Garnett and said that he talked trash to Garnett after a dunk because of what KG said to him when he came in. But he admitted that mind games were easy for Kevin. And said he probably wouldn’t remember the incident with Iman because it was light for him.
