Some players in the NBA just don’t see eye to eye. And it seems Draymond Green and Kevin Durant are slowly getting there. Once teammates, the duo won two championships together with the Golden State Warriors. However, after an argument on the court, Durant left the Bay and signed with the Brooklyn Nets.

But it seems their argument saw another part, but this time on Twitter. After Green made a comment on his teammate Stephen Curry, the Easy Money Sniper was in total disagreement. On the other hand, Green felt KD needs to see the complete picture before speaking his piece.

When it comes to offensive duos, the NBA has seen many. However, not many can come close to Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant. Both former scoring champions led the way for the Warriors in their back-to-back championship-winning conquests. While KD walked away with the Finals MVP trophy on both occasions, Curry was a huge contributor on the offensive end as well.

In his recent podcast episode, Green spoke about the scenario and gave both players their props. But he said Curry was subject to a lot more double teams in their title runs. And it seems KD took that personally.

Draymond Green hits back at Kevin Durant over Stephen Curry take

Reacting to a clip of Green’s podcast episode, Durant said he didn’t feel like Green was right with the way he saw things. But Green isn’t one to be quiet either. Likewise, he responded to Durant and said all he watched was a small bit of the episode. He urged Durant to watch the entire podcast to completely understand what he wanted to say. It was more about defending the legacy Stephen Curry has left without a Finals MVP rather than saying Durant had the offensive freedom.

Draymond said: “You have to learn to listen to full takes and not snippets before you get baited into tweeting Champ.”

As it comes to the legacy of Curry, the complaint has always been that he has no Finals MVP. Despite having three championships, the Baby Face Assassin has never won the award. However, Green summed it up really well. The award doesn’t truly showcase the importance the three-point king holds for the Warriors.

In each of the three championships, Curry was an irreplaceable piece without which the Warriors couldn’t have gotten the taste of victory in the first place. Being a threat from nearly anywhere on the court, it is really hard for Steph to even get an open look.

This is why the duo of Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry was so lethal. With Curry getting doubled so much, having one of the best scorers of this generation besides you fairs out really well. Over that, when KD had it going, he always had Curry to rely on if the defences switched on to him.

Hence, there was practically no weakness to the Warriors’ offense with these two superstars sharing the floor.
