JJ Redick’s view on the Luka Doncic situation with the current season

JJ discussed on his YouTube channel how Luka’s style of taking could be more challenging than what James did during his prime. Here’s what he said at the beginning of the discussion: “It’s hard, it’s hard to watch the Mavs play right now and be like yeah I’m going to pick against Luka.” 

He was then asked about his thoughts on those comments that are coming on Twitter where fans are saying Luka’s performance is reminiscent of James 2007. In response, he said:

“My argument against that is that the Western Conference is much better and Phoenix is a much better team than you know the Eastern Conference was back then. That was pre-Celtics and obviously, the Pistons were still very good but again though that group had been together and not been for like four or five years so they were not on their last leg they had a lot of mileage on that team.”
