The two GOATs are in another debate for their supremacy. Michael Jordan and LeBron James have made the NBA-loving generation split into two sides over who they believe is the GOAT in basketball. When MJ retired for the final time, the same year LeBron started his career. A sort of passing of the torch. While the debate of who the absolute GOAT is may never end, the two millionaires lock horns in tequila supremacy.

Michael Jordan owns the tequila company named Cincoro Tequila. LeBron James’ tequila brand is named Lobos 1707 Tequila. The two brands now are in the finals for the award for the best tequila.

Coming in at $114, MJ’s Cincoro is aged 8-10 months in used American whiskey barrels at an underground cellar in its distillery. The cooked agave is joined by hints of vanilla on the nose and complemented by spices and dried fruits. On the palate, you’re tasting cooked agave with notes of light vanilla, baking spices, and toasted oak.

On the other hand, tequila fan LeBron James has invested in the company with his business partner and friend Maverick Carter due to the quality of the product, its core values, and the chance to build a ‘strong consumer brand with diverse leadership’.

Coming in at $51, LeBron’s Lobos begins as 100% pure Blue Weber agave and rests for six months in American white oak barrels. The liquid is then blended with just a touch of Lobos 1707 Tequila, Extra Añejo. Finished in its Pedro Ximénez wine barrels, creating a spicy, bold, audacious profile.

The winner between MJ and LeBron will be announced in mid-June, around when the newest NBA champion will be crowned. May the best tequila win!
