Over the 76 years of the NBA, legends have graced the game in all eras. However, at the end of the day, it seems just two men dominate the most heated debate in the sport. The never-ending GOAT debate majorly has just Michael Jordan and LeBron James in contention. There have been mixed opinions on who truly is the greatest of all time. However, one man who has watched both the mega stars closely weighed in. And despite having a cracking story with His Airness, he chose ‘The King’ to be the number one.
Before James entered the picture, the position of MJ was unchallenged. NBA legends accepted there would never be another one like Mike. His aura was captivating. Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx, who once met the six-time champion at the All-Star game felt the complete effects of being around Jordan. Notably, his date at the time forgot all about him as soon as she caught a glimpse of Jordan.

Appearing on LeBron James’ ‘The Shop’, Foxx settled the GOAT debate in one of the most hilarious fashions.
Until now, the GOAT debate has possibly been evenly matched. Jordan and James both have lived out a career probably no other basketball player will ever eclipse. His Airness was a scoring genius with a killer mentality enough to overwhelm the opponents. On the other hand, LeBron James holds the reigns of being arguably the most complete basketball player ever. This season, James is on pace to beat the all-time scoring record, surpassing Los Angeles Lakers legend Kareem-Abdul Jabbar.
Foxx is on team LeBron James
Likewise, with the 37-year-old still on top of his game, Foxx didn’t want to hear any other argument. He simply claimed James holds the top spot. The ‘Spiderman‘ actor said: “Where’s the camera? He’s number one… Stop all the hype. He drinks goat milk and eats goat cheese. He is number one. I’ve had it with all of y’all. Let me fix my glasses.”

Foxx’s admission might have been the funniest answer by far. However, one thing doesn’t change, the GOAT debate will still probably never be settled. Michael Jordan and LeBron James are certainly larger-than-life figures. They are also the only two billionaires from the NBA so far. In addition, their reign of dominance in a particular era was probably never seen before.

But the only way to come to a solid conclusion would have been to have both these legends play in the same era. Hence, the mantle of GOAT can’t be established on a single person. But there might not be anyone else joining LeBron James and Michael Jordan in the race anytime soon.
