Charles Barkley started off the episode with a hilarious joke from a few months ago as he was about to welcome a guest on the show. As the show started, co-host Ernie Johnson mentioned how they were going to welcome former Villanova coach Jay Wright to the show.

Chuck instantly joked about how Wright doesn’t have anything else to do as he’s “unemployed“. In response to which Johnson corrected him, mentioning how “he’s on TV“. After learning about Wright’s workplace, Barkley decided to slam dunk with a hilarious statement.

“He[Jay Wright] is no Tom Brady, but he’s a pretty man,” joked Barkley. However, this isn’t the first time that Chuck has fawned over the NFL icon, as the 76ers legend had something similar to say a few months ago.

In an earlier episode of The Steam Room, Chuck mentioned how he loved recording a podcast with Tom Brady more than watching the USMNT play in the FIFA WC. Additionally, the 11-time All-star didn’t hold his feelings back on NBA on TNT when he acknowledged the “pretty” Tom Brady.

It is a long-running joke for Chuck, and by the looks of it, his jokes would only get better with time. However, Barkley was in a fun mood because of other reasons as well, like his ‘second favorite’ sporting event, March Madness.

Barkley and the crew will be on a bit of a hiatus for the next few weeks, till they cover March Madness, which is the NCAA Division I Men’s basketball tournament. It commences on 14th March of this year and Barkley is all for it.
