Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman was not only famous for his wild rebounding stats and defensive skills, but also for his shooting form. Rodman had arguably one of the weirdest shooting forms as he used only one hand to shoot the ball. With the release point closer to his waist than his face, it was rather difficult for opposing players to block his shot. Although it was unorthodox, Rodman made sure he got the buckets. 

The 19-year-old rookie of the San Antonio Spurs, Jeremy Sochan made news recently with a similar shooting form to that of Dennis Rodman. The young guard has started shooting free throws with just one hand. Although Sochan has been successful with this method, fans continued to troll his shooting form on Twitter.

Jeremy Sochan was drafted in 2022 in the first round by the San Antonio Spurs as the 9th pick. Sochan is a Polish-American and is also a member of the men’s basketball team in Poland. Basketball runs through his family, as both his mother and father played for the Polish basketball team. Even though Sochan is trolled for his shooting form, he has shown a huge improvement in shooting.

Sochan started using this new method of shooting from the month of December. Ever since he started shooting from one hand, Sochan’s free throw percentage has shot up to 74.4% from 45.8%. NBA fans were left in shock to see this massive jump of almost 30% in just one month. 

In addition to the similar shooting form, Sochan seems to change his hair color frequently, just like Dennis Rodman did. The young guard has already changed his hair color four times since he joined the San Antonio Spurs. 

Similarities between Rodman and Sochan

Moreover, Sochan and Rodman wear the same jersey number. During Rodman’s tenure with the Detroit Pistons and the Spurs, he wore number 10 on his back, now worn by Sochan. The Bulls star is also famous for his trash-talking and feuds with his opponents on the court.

In the recent match-up between the Spurs and the Brooklyn Nets, Jeremy Sochan picked up a fight with Nets forward Markieff Morris. Sochan was compared to Rodman for his ability to get under the skin of his opponents.
